NWKRTC Expands Popular Hubballi-Vijayapura Route with Two New Multi-Axle AC Buses

Hubballi, Karnataka – February 8, 2024: Responding to strong public demand, the North Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC) has announced the addition of two new multi-axle Volvo AC buses on the busy Hubballi-Vijayapura route. This move follows the successful launch of six such buses last year, highlighting the growing preference for comfortable and affordable air-conditioned travel in the region.

“The initial multi-axle AC buses on the Hubballi-Vijayapura route received an overwhelming response from passengers,” stated H. Ramanagouda, Divisional Controller, NWKRTC Hubballi Division. “They appreciate the air-conditioned comfort at competitive fares, and we’re happy to cater to their requests by adding two more buses.”

These new buses will operate between the Gokul Road New Bus Stand in Hubballi and the Central Bus Stand in Vijayapura, offering convenient departure timings:

Hubballi to Vijayapura:

6:20 AM, 7:30 AM, 8:15 AM, 10:30 AM, 12:01 PM, 1:30 PM, 6:15 PM, and 6:45 PM.

Vijayapura to Hubballi:

6:00 AM, 11:10 AM, 12:45 PM, 2:00 PM, 3:45 PM, 5:00 PM, 7:10 PM, and 11:15 PM.

Passengers can avail advance booking through the KSRTC website (https://www.ksrtc.in) or mobile app, enjoying additional discounts. Booking four or more seats together provides a 5% fare reduction, while purchasing a single ticket for both onward and return journeys offers a 10% discount on the return fare.

The NWKRTC plans to extend this multi-axle AC bus service to other major cities based on the continued public response. This initiative aligns with the organization’s commitment to enhancing passenger comfort and promoting affordable travel options within the region.
