In a significant and symbolic gesture, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Arichal Munai, a site of historical and religious importance, on the eve of the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya. Arichal Munai is recognized as the starting point of the Ram Setu, a mythical bridge believed to have been built by Lord Rama’s army to reach the island of Lanka in the epic Ramayana.

The visit to Arichal Munai holds special significance as it is intricately linked to the revered tale of Lord Rama. The Prime Minister, acknowledging the historical and cultural importance of the site, took the opportunity to pay homage to the sacred place associated with Prabhu Shri Ram’s life.

As per Hindu mythology, the Ram Setu, is considered a bridge built by Lord Rama’s army of vanaras (monkeys) to rescue his wife Sita from the demon king Ravana in Lanka. Arichal Munai is believed to be the place from where the construction of this bridge began, marking the commencement of a journey that ultimately led to the triumph of good over evil.

The Prime Minister’s visit to Arichal Munai comes ahead of the consecration ceremony of the idol of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya. This ceremony is a momentous occasion that holds deep religious and cultural significance for millions of Hindus across the country. The construction of the grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya has been a long-cherished dream for many, and the consecration ceremony marks a historic milestone in the fulfillment of this aspiration.
