Hubballi Police Arrest a Man for Allegedly Assaulting Woman

Hubballi: The Keshwapur police have arrested a man, Aftab, a fruit vendor, for allegedly assaulting a young woman. According to police sources, the woman claimed she and Aftab were friends. She stated that he had given her gifts and pressured her into a relationship.

The incident occurred when the woman went to return the gifts. The accused allegedly beat her, according to her statement to the police. Aftab has been booked under IPC sections 354 (assault or criminal force on woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 506 (criminal intimidation).
