Dingaleshwar Swamiji Meets Congress Leader in Hubballi

Hubballi: Independent candidate Fakira Dingaleshwar Swamiji of Shirahatti Bhavikya Math paid a visit to Congress leader Rajat Ullagaddimath’s residence on Ullagaddimath Oni on Friday. The seer’s visit has caused minor ripples in the political circles of Dharwad Lok Sabha constituency, though Dingaleshwar Swamiji opened up about the visit later.

It was the cradle ceremony of Rajat’s daughter, and the Swamiji visited the house to bless the tiny tot and the couple upon invitation. Though Swamiji claimed that they did not discuss any political issues, and the occasion was also not favorable to initiate a dialogue, he said he visited Rajat’s house to bless the baby girl.

The seer stated that Rajat did not receive enough recognition from the party for the work he has done and expressed confidence that he would get his due in the coming days. Rajat was an aspirant to receive the Congress ticket to contest the Lok Sabha election from Dharwad Lok Sabha segment, but the party bestowed the ticket to Vinod Asooti. Dingaleshwar Swamiji, who is vocal and spoke vehemently against BJP candidate Pralhad Joshi, is contesting the election from this seat as an independent with the aim to defeat Joshi.
