Woman Killed in Dog Attack: Arrest Made for Dangerous Dog Offenses

LONDON: A-68-year old woman lost her life in a dog attack while visiting her grandson in Jaywick, Essex.The deceased has been identified as Esther Martin. A 39-year-old man has been arrested for suspected dangerous dog offenses, and the involved dogs have been put down.

The victim’s daughter, Sonia Martin, disclosed that the dogs were banned XL bully breeds and had been a source of concern for Esther, who had raised the issue with the owners. Sonia expressed gratitude to neighbors who attempted to help during the attack.

Esther Martin, a grandmother of eight and great-grandmother of three, was rebuilding her life after the death of another daughter two years ago. Essex Police commended the swift actions of officers who entered the house, ensuring no ongoing threat. Investigations continue, and authorities await confirmation of the dog breed from experts.
