Watch the video: “I don’t need your sweets…!” Furious Union Minister Joshi Reprimands Inspector Kadadevarmath
Hubballi: Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Mines, and Coal, Pralhad Joshi, found himself in a fiery mood this afternoon as he took Inspector NC Kadadevarmath of Dharwad Town to task, accusing him of troubling BJP workers.
Joshi, stationed at his home office in Hubballi, convened with BJP members who voiced their grievances about Inspector Kadadevarmath allegedly harassing them. Ravi, a BJP worker and resident of Gollar Oni in Dharwad, claimed that the Town Police Station inspector was needlessly causing trouble and even went as far as to say that he had slapped him.
Summoning the inspector to his office, Kadadevarmath arrived with a bag of sweets, but little did he know he was about to incur the wrath of the minister. Joshi sternly questioned the allegations, demanding an explanation for why the BJP worker was allegedly assaulted within the confines of the police station. Joshi emphasized that if any wrongdoing had occurred, appropriate action should be taken, but physical violence was unacceptable.
A visibly angered Joshi declared that he would stage a Dharna (protest) in front of the police station, lodge complaints with his superiors, including the police commissioner and DG. In a final defiant gesture, Joshi dismissed the offered bag of sweets, stating emphatically that he had no interest in such gestures. Media outlets have since been circulating videos capturing Joshi’s heated rebuke.
