Accident on Kusugal Road: Residents of Keshwapur meet East Traffic Inspector

Residents of Keshwapur submitted a memorandum to East Traffic PI and deputy mayor Uma Mukund

Hubballi: Following a fatal accident on Kusugal Road on Sunday morning, concerned citizens met with the East Traffic Inspector on Monday and presented a memorandum to him urging prompt action be taken to reduce accidents and make the road safe for users.

The residents, led by deputy mayor Uma Mukund, submitted a memorandum to the inspector to construct scientific humps between Sarvodaya Circle and Madhura Colony. The residents said they were worried about using the road after the fatal accident happened on this stretch. They said that in the past, many accidents have happened.

They requested the inspector to take measures to install traffic signals, paint zebra crossings, speed limit warnings, road safety signs and other measures so that users could use the road safely.

Speaking to Inspector NC Kadadevar promised to take all reasonable steps to reduce accidents and keep the road safe for drivers. He asked the locals to obey traffic laws, such as wearing helmets and riding motorbikes within the established speed limits.
