Tendulkar’s visit kicked off with a surprise for bat-makers at the MJ Sports factory. “We were busy making bats when we saw him and his family arrive,” said owner Mohammad Shaheen Parray, recounting their astonishment. The cricket legend reminisced about his first Kashmir willow bat, played with some bats, and expressed interest in supporting local production.

This love for the game translated into a heartwarming moment in Gulmarg. Surrounded by the picturesque landscape, Tendulkar engaged in spirited gully cricket matches with locals, leaving everyone thrilled. Social media buzzed with videos of the “Little Master” batting with locals, showcasing his humility and passion for the sport.

Beyond cricket, Tendulkar paid respects at the Aman Setu bridge, a symbol of peace, and interacted with soldiers stationed nearby. This gesture highlighted his respect for the brave men guarding the borders.

Even on his journey to Kashmir, Tendulkar received a warm welcome. Fellow passengers showered him with chants of “Sachin, Sachin!”, demonstrating the enduring legacy and immense popularity he enjoys.
