Morning Marriage, Evening Fight, Night of Tragedy: Kolar Couple Dies Hours After Wedding
Kolar: A tragic incident has left the Kolar region in shock, as a couple who had recently fallen in love and convinced their families to approve their marriage died within hours of their wedding following a violent altercation. The exact cause of their deaths remains unknown, and the investigation is ongoing.
The wedding mandap, still set up in front of their home, serves as a somber reminder of the day’s earlier celebrations. Family members who had gathered for the wedding were still in the village when the tragic event unfolded.
The couple, who tied the knot on Wednesday, returned home after their marriage ceremony and went to their room later that evening. According to reports, they allegedly engaged in a fight, leading to their untimely deaths. The incident took place in Chambarasanahalli village of KGF taluk in Kolar district.
Likhitashree, the bride, died at KGF Hospital on Wednesday, while Naveen, the groom, succumbed to his injuries on Thursday in a Bengaluru hospital. Although the exact circumstances surrounding their deaths are still under investigation, there are suspicions of a third party’s involvement. The police are currently awaiting the results of the post-mortem examinations to shed more light on the situation.
Reports indicate that both the bride and groom sustained significant injuries. Likhitashree had severe wounds on her neck and right palm, while Naveen suffered head injuries, likely caused by a blunt object.
The couple’s funerals were held on Thursday evening. The Andersonpet police have launched a full investigation into the case to uncover the truth behind this tragic incident.
