Karnataka: Congress stages protest demanding arrest of MP Pratap Simha

On December 14, the Karnataka Youth Congress staged a protest at Congress Bhavan in Bengaluru, demanding the arrest of BJP MP Pratap Simha over a security breach in Parliament.

Protestors burned posters of Simha, alleging his involvement, while former MLA Yathindra Siddaramaiah urged investigation, suggesting Simha be suspended during the inquiry.

Police intervened, arresting protestors during the demonstration. Yathindra emphasized Simha’s accountability given the incident’s proximity to the 2001 Parliament attack and stressed the need to probe the motives behind the breach.
