Melbourne, Dec 11: In Australia, an elderly driver faces charges for a tragic car crash in Victoria last month that claimed five lives and injured several.
The 66-year-old driver, William Swale, plowed his SUV into the Royal Daylesford Hotel’s beer garden, striking 10 people celebrating on November 5.
The Victoria Police’s Major Collision Investigation Unit charged Swale with five counts of culpable driving causing death, two counts of negligently causing serious injury, and seven counts of reckless conduct endangering life.
