Hubballi: The renowned “Vijaya Karadantu,” originally introduced to the world in 1907 at Aminagad by the late Saavaligepaa Raachappa Aiholli, is celebrating a new milestone today. Following in his footsteps, his son Basavaraj Saavaligepaa Aiholli expanded the production line by introducing various sweets, thereby earning a distinguished place in the market.
Currently, in its third generation, Santosh Aiholli has successfully introduced Vijaya Karadantu from Aminagad to customers across Karnataka and even to neighboring Goa, gaining the trust and satisfaction of a wide customer base.
With branches in 26 locations including Bengaluru, Mangaluru, Raichur, Gangavati, Sindhanur, Ilkal, Guledudda, Hunagund, Aiholli, Karatagi, Masti, Lingsugur, Aminagad, Banahatti, Bagalkot, Vijayapura, and more, the 27th branch is now being inaugurated in Hubballi on Friday, June 6, 2025, at Moorusavir Math Road, Dajiban Peth.
The store offers five varieties of Karadantu, along with more than 20 different types of sweets and a range of spicy snacks.
The Hubballi branch will be inaugurated by Basavaraj Horatti, Chairman of the Karnataka Legislative Council, and Mrs. Sulochana Basavaraj Kamatagi, proprietor of Gangavati Silk Sarees, at 11:00 AM on Thursday. The inauguration will be graced by the divine presence of His Holiness Shri Shantalinga Mahaswamiji Doreswamy Viraktamath of Bairanatti.
As a special attraction for the opening celebration, customers will receive a free 1-gram silver coin on purchases of ₹500 or more on June 6, 7, and 8. Santosh Aiholli encouraged customers to take advantage of this offer during the press conference.
