Train Services Disrupted in Hubballi Division Due to Goods Train Derailment
Hubballi, 16th November 2023: South Western Railway (SWR) has announced the cancellation and diversion of several train services due to a goods train derailment between Vyasanakeri and Vyasa Colony Railway Stations of Hubballi Division.
The derailment occurred at around 4.08 pm today, involving 10 wagons from the locomotive and 2 wagons in the center of the train. No casualties or injuries have been reported.
Accident Relief Trains (ARTs) have been dispatched to the site to assist in recovery efforts. Senior railway officials are closely monitoring the situation.

Train No. 06245 Hosapete – Harihar Passenger Special of 16.11.2023
Train No. 07396 Harihar – Ballari DEMU Special of 16.11.2023
Train No. 07398 Ballari – Hosapete DEMU Special of 16.11.2023

The following train services have been diverted due to the derailment:
Train No. 06546 Vijayapura – Yesvantpur Express commencing journey from Vijayapura on 16.11.2023 is diverted to run via Hosapete, Ballari Cant, Rayadurga, Chikjajur, skipping stoppages at Mariyamanahalli, Hagaribommanahalli, Kotturu, Harapanahalli & Davangere stations.
Train No. 06545 Yesvantpur – Vijayapura Express commencing journey from Vijayapura on 16.11.2023 is diverted to run via Chikjajur, Rayadurga, Ballari Cant and Hosapete, skipping stoppage at Davangere, Harapanahalli, Kotturu, Hagaribommanahalli & Mariyamanahalli.
