The US House of Representatives has approved a non-binding resolution advocating for legislation to establish an inter-parliamentary group, Strengthening the Quad Act, uniting lawmakers from the Quad member countries (US, India, Japan, and Australia).

The proposed group aims to deepen collaboration between Quad countries on various issues and emulate the successful bilateral parliamentary groups.

The envisioned US group would consist of 24 members from both the House of Representatives and the Senate. The resolution also calls for a strategy from the Secretary of State to enhance engagement and cooperation with the Quad, showcasing democratic leadership in the Indo-Pacific.
