SP President Akhilesh Yadav to Join Nyay Yatra in UP

Lucknow: Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav is set to join Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ in Rae Bareli.

The Congress and SP are expected to finalize their seat-sharing arrangement in Uttar Pradesh within two days. Talks have been stalled since January 27 when Akhilesh unexpectedly allocated 11 seats to Congress. Despite ongoing discussions, no official acknowledgment of the seat allocation has been made.

Akhilesh has accepted an invitation from Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge to participate in the Nyay Yatra. The SP leader will join the yatra in Rae Bareli, possibly at Bachhrawan, a constituency won by SP in the 2022 UP Assembly elections.
