Infosys founder Narayana Murthy’s two new deepfake videos are circulating on social media, promoting an alleged investing platform called “Quantum AI.”

The videos claim users can earn $3,000 on the first working day. One video shows a morphed Murthy claiming collaboration with Elon Musk on the “Quantum AI” project.

The lip movements in the deepfake are out of sync, a strong indicator of manipulation.

The original video is from Murthy’s speech at the Moneycontrol Startup Conclave. Another deepfake video, with a different English accent, surfaced on November 8. Zerodha CEO Nithin Kamath shared a convincing deepfake to highlight AI’s growing threat.

Kamath’s deepfake discusses challenges in verifying customer identities amid digitization.
