Bengaluru: In a significant development, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has granted permission for a CBI inquiry into the allegations of fraud and misconduct against Gururaj Raghavendra Co-operative Bank, Vasistha Bank, and Guru Sarvabhauma Bank, said his office in a statement.

Siddaramaiah, who led the opposition against the malpractices and deception faced by depositors of these banks, has been a vocal advocate both inside and outside the legislature, urging for a fair investigation to deliver justice to the customers and depositors affected by the financial irregularities.

As leaders of the opposition, Siddaramaiah and his team played a pivotal role in protesting against the wrongdoings of the three banks, advocating for a thorough investigation to hold those responsible accountable.
