Shivamogga ISIS Case: NIA Adds Two Accused, Total Now 10
Bengaluru: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a chargesheet against two more individuals in the Shivamogga ISIS conspiracy case, increasing the total number of accused to 10.
The accused, Abdul Matheen Ahmed Taaha and Mussavir Hussain Shazib, were previously involved in other ISIS-related cases, including the Rameshwaram Cafe Blast and the Al-Hind ISIS Module in Bengaluru. Both men are from Shivamogga and were engaged in radicalizing and recruiting youths for ISIS.
The case, which the NIA took over from Karnataka police in November 2022, involves anti-India activities, including arson, flag burning, and terror funding. The NIA filed its third supplementary chargesheet under various sections of the IPC and UA(P) Act. Investigations are ongoing.
