The actor’s tax contribution stands at an impressive Rs 92 crore, putting him ahead of other prominent figures from both the entertainment and sports industries. Following closely is Tamil superstar Vijay, who paid Rs 80 crore, and Salman Khan, who contributed Rs 75 crore.
The list features a mix of Bollywood stalwarts and sports icons, including Amitabh Bachchan with Rs 71 crore, Ajay Devgn at Rs 42 crore, and Ranbir Kapoor at Rs 36 crore. Other notable names include Hrithik Roshan (Rs 28 crore), Kapil Sharma (Rs 26 crore), and Kareena Kapoor (Rs 20 crore), highlighting the significant tax contributions from the entertainment sector.
This year, Vijay’s rise is particularly noteworthy, as he surpassed heavyweights like Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, and even cricket star Virat Kohli, marking a significant achievement for the Tamil actor. The report clarifies that these figures reflect advance tax payments for FY24.
In the realm of cricket, MS Dhoni contributed Rs 38 crore, while legends Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly paid Rs 28 crore and Rs 23 crore, respectively. Virat Kohli remains the top taxpayer among cricketers, with an impressive Rs 66 crore paid this fiscal year.
His successful ventures, including his production company Red Chillies Entertainment and the Kolkata Knight Riders IPL team, have significantly contributed to his wealth.
