Hubballi, EXPRESS News: The government has issued an order appointing senior journalists Anil Gejji and J. Abbas Mulla as members of the Karnataka Media Academy, which functions under the Department of Information and Public Relations.

Abbas Mulla, originally from Khanapur in Belagavi district, began his journalism career as a reporter for Vijay Karnataka. He later worked as a reporter for Sanje Darpan and the Marathi daily Tarun Bharat in Hubballi. Currently, he serves as a correspondent for the English daily The Times of India. Abbas Mulla has also held the position of General Secretary of the Dharwad District Working Journalists’ Association. With 25 years of experience in the media industry, he is a respected figure in the field.

Anil Gejji, also hailing from Belagavi district, is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience, having worked for several publications including ETV News and The New Indian Express. He is currently part of the political bureau at The Times of India in Bengaluru. Gejji has almost three decades of experience in this industry. He guided many young journalists in the industry.
