The second charge sheet, filed recently, accuses Revanna of raping the woman, a domestic worker from Holenarsipura. The case was officially registered at the local police station, and the 1,632-page document has now been submitted to the Special Court for Public Representatives.
Allegations and Evidence
According to the SIT’s investigation, Revanna allegedly threatened the woman and sexually assaulted her multiple times. The charge sheet reveals that he recorded the assault on his mobile phone. Despite the victim’s desperate pleas—where she mentioned having served meals to his grandfather and father—he continued his actions.
The victim’s testimony, recorded under Section 164 of the CrPC, is supported by statements from 113 witnesses. The charge sheet also includes digital evidence and forensic findings.
Multiple Allegations Surface
Prajwal Revanna is facing accusations from four women in total. Separate cases have been registered by the SIT, as they continue to investigate the various claims of sexual misconduct against him.
Key Seizures and DNA Analysis
During their inquiry, the SIT confiscated important items such as the victims’ clothing and bed sheets from Revanna’s residences in Basavanagudi and Holenarsipura. These were found to contain samples of semen and hair, which have been sent for medical examination. The SIT has already subjected Revanna to a DNA test. Should the DNA results match, the former MP could be in serious legal jeopardy.
The investigation is ongoing, and the SIT is awaiting critical forensic reports before proceeding further.
