PM Modi to Flag Off Vande Metro, Renamed “Namo Bharat Rapid Rail”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate India’s inaugural ‘Vande Metro’ service on Monday, which will operate between Bhuj and Ahmedabad. The train has been officially rebranded as “Namo Bharat Rapid Rail.”

During his visit to Gujarat, the Prime Minister will also launch several additional Vande Bharat trains.

According to the railway minister, the Namo Bharat Rapid Rail is designed to enhance connectivity between urban centres and their surrounding areas. Unlike traditional metro systems that typically cover shorter distances, Vande Metro trains will facilitate travel from central city locations to outlying regions, providing seamless transit options for commuters.
