PM Modi to Flag Off Vande Bharat Between Mysuru and Chennai, Here is the Schedule
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to flag off an addition to the nation’s railway network – Train No. 20663/20664 Mysuru-Dr. MGR Chennai Central-Mysuru Vande Bharat Express on March 12, 2024. This inauguration will take place through a video link, commemorating the significant milestone for Indian Railways.
Inaugural Special Service:
The inaugural Train No. 02664 will run as a special service from Dr. MGR Chennai Central to SMVT Bengaluru, as detailed below: –
The inaugural service, Train No. 02664 Dr. MGR Chennai Central-SMVT Bengaluru Vande Bharat Inaugural Special, will commence its journey from Dr. MGR Chennai Central at 09:15 AM on March 12, 2024. The train will make stoppages at Katpadi and Krishnarajapuram, reaching SMVT Bengaluru at 02:20 PM on the same day. The inaugural special train comprises a total of 8 coaches.
Regular Service Commencement:
The regular service, Train No. 20663/20664 Mysuru-Dr. MGR Chennai Central-Mysuru Vande Bharat Express will commence its regular service with effect from April 5, 2024, on both sides.
Train No. 20663 will depart from Mysuru at 06:00 am and arrive at Dr. MGR Chennai Central at 12:25 pm on all days except Wednesday. En route, the train will make stops at Mandya (06:28/06:30 am), KSR Bengaluru (07:45/07:50 am), Krishnarajapuram (08:04/08:06 am), and Katpadi (10:33/10:35 am).
In the return direction, Train No. 20664 will leave Dr. MGR Chennai Central at 05:00 pm and reach Mysuru at 11:20 pm on all days except Wednesday. En route, the train will stop at Katpadi (06:23/06:25 pm), Krishnarajapuram (08:48/08:50 pm), KSR Bengaluru (09:25/09:30 pm), and Mandya (10:38/10:40 pm).
Note: Until the maintenance facility at Mysuru is commissioned, the above train will regularly operate between Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru and Dr. MGR Chennai Central with maintenance in the Bengaluru area, as per the detailed timings mentioned below:
Train No. 20663 Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru-Dr. MGR Chennai Central Vande Bharat Express will depart from SMVT Bengaluru at 07:50 am, starting from March 14, 2024, to April 4, 2024, and arrive at Dr. MGR Chennai Central at 12:25 pm on all days except Wednesday. En route, the train will stop at Krishnarajapuram (08:04/08:06 am) and Katpadi (10:33/10:35 am).
In the return direction, Train No. 20664 Dr. MGR Chennai Central-Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express will leave Dr. MGR Chennai Central at 5 pm, starting from March 14, 2024, to April 4, 2024, and reach SMVT Bengaluru at 09:30 pm on all days except Wednesday. En route, the train will stop at Katpadi (06:23/06:25 pm) and Krishnarajapuram (08:48/08:50 pm).
The Vande Bharat Express will consist of 8 coaches, including 4 motor cars, 1 trailing car, 1 executive class/trailing car, and 2 driving trailer cars.
