NFHS-6 Karnataka North Team Concludes Training, Gears Up for Main Survey

Dharwad, Karnataka – The National Family Health Survey (NFHS) Phase-6 in North Karnataka reached a significant milestone as the 28-day residential training program for the survey team concluded on February 29. The closing ceremony, held at the SKDRDP training center in Dharwad, marked the transition from intensive training to the imminent commencement of the Main Survey.

The event saw the presence of distinguished guests, including Mr. Arun K. Tyagi, Gaurav Sharma, Prashant Jaiswal, and representatives from DHS Dharwad. Dr. Pramila, Joint Director of the Department of Health and Family Welfare Services, Karnataka, also graced the occasion, emphasizing the importance of the NFHS in shaping health policies and programs.

Vone India Services Private Limited, entrusted with the responsibility of conducting the survey across North Karnataka, played a pivotal role in orchestrating the comprehensive training program. The residential training aimed to equip the survey team with the necessary skills and knowledge to conduct a thorough and accurate survey.

Team Leader Mr. Arun Kumar Tyagi expressed satisfaction with the team’s preparedness and dedication. He announced that the teams are poised to embark on the Main Survey for NFHS-6, commencing on March 7 across 15 districts in North Karnataka.

The NFHS is a crucial nationwide initiative that provides essential data on various health and demographic indicators. The survey’s findings are instrumental in shaping public health policies, healthcare interventions, and family welfare programs.

The Main Survey, set to commence in early March, holds the promise of contributing valuable data for informed decision-making and shaping the future of healthcare in the region.
