Mysuru: Former MLA Vasu, Popularly Known as Mayor Vasu, Passes Away at 72

Mysuru: Former MLA Vasu, affectionately referred to as Mayor Vasu, passed away on Saturday at the age of 72. He had served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) once, representing Chamaraja constituency of Mysuru.

He is survived by his three children. Vasu was a Congress leader and a known educationist. The mortal remains of the late politician are currently placed for public viewing at his residence in Jayalaxmi Puram. Vasu.

Displaying a profound commitment to medical welfare, had pledged his body to JSS Medical College approximately 15 years ago. Following the public paying their respects, his body will be formally handed over to JSS Medical College in accordance with his wishes.

The veteran politician had been ailing for the past few months, and his demise marks the end of a significant chapter in Mysuru’s political landscape.
