Mehbooba Mufti Cancels Election Tour in Mourning for Hezbollah’s Hassan Nasrallah
Srinagar: PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti expressed grief over the death of Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah. In a post on X on Saturday, September 28, Mehbooba announced that she was canceling her Sunday election tour in support of the martyrs of Lebanon and Gaza, especially Hassan Nasrallah.
She stated, “In this moment of deep sorrow and rebellion, we stand with the people of Palestine and Lebanon.” Meanwhile, a rally was also held in support of Nasrallah in Jammu and Kashmir’s Budgam.
On the night of September 27, around 9:30 PM, Israel conducted airstrikes in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, resulting in Nasrallah’s death. The Israeli military had attacked Hezbollah’s headquarters with 80 tons of bombs.
