AICC Prez Kharge Faints During Rally, Says “I’m Not Going Anywhere Until Modi is Removed”
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge fainted on stage while addressing a rally in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir. Kharge was paying tribute to a constable who had passed away when he suddenly felt unwell.
While delivering his speech, Kharge’s voice started to weaken, and he eventually collapsed, causing panic among the crowd. People on the stage helped him sit down, and his speech was stopped.
After recovering, Kharge returned to the stage and said, “I am 83 years old, but I am not going to die so soon. I will stay alive until Modi is removed. I will continue to listen to you and will keep advocating for full statehood for Jammu and Kashmir.”
Jammu and Kashmir is holding assembly elections after 10 years. This is the first assembly election after Article 370 was abrogated in 2019. Jammu and Kashmir has 90 assembly constituencies, with 7 reserved for Scheduled Castes and 9 for Scheduled Tribes.
