Kochi, February 20, 2024: Mammootty’s latest flick, the chilling horror-thriller “Bramayugam,” continues to weave its spell on audiences, raking in an impressive Rs 30 crore globally since its release on February 15th. Directed by Rahul Sadasivan, the film’s strong opening weekend performance garnered much excitement, and despite a slight dip on Monday, positive word-of-mouth continues to fuel its success.

Trade analysts report that “Bramayugam” collected over Rs 30 crore across the globe within its first four days, solidifying its position as a promising contender at the box office. While a Monday dip was anticipated, the film’s hold on audiences remains strong, attributed largely to the positive buzz it has generated.

“The positive word-of-mouth has been phenomenal,” said industry analyst Sreedhar Pillai. “Mammootty’s performance, coupled with the unique black-and-white format and captivating storytelling, has struck a chord with viewers, leading to strong repeat viewership.”

Adding to the film’s appeal is its unique presentation. Shot entirely in black and white, “Bramayugam” draws inspiration from the folklore of “Aithihyamala” and its haunting tales. This distinct style, coupled with Mammootty’s powerful portrayal of his character, has created a visually and emotionally immersive experience for audiences.

While the film’s final box office performance remains to be seen, its initial success suggests that “Bramayugam” might very well continue to haunt the box office for weeks to come.
