KS Eshwarappa Receives Symbol for Independent Candidacy

Shivamogga: The Election Commission has assigned a symbol to former minister KS Eshwarappa, who is running independently for the Shivamogga Lok Sabha seat.

Eshwarappa has been granted the symbol of a farmer standing in front of a pair of sugarcane. He declared his independent candidacy for Shivamogga after his son KE Kantesh was denied a BJP ticket to contest the Lok Sabha election from the Haveri Gadag seat.

Speculation arose that Eshwarappa would withdraw his nomination on Monday, but he chose to retain it, and finally, the Election Commission has granted him a symbol.”
