Kannada Rajyotsava: Karnataka Government to Provide Free Electricity and Water to State Schools

The Chief Minister of Karnataka, Siddaramaiah, has made a significant announcement regarding government schools in the state. He declared that these schools will now receive free electricity and water services. This announcement came during his speech at the Kannada Rajyotsava program, where he had hoisted the Kannada flag at Kantirava Stadium.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah emphasized his government’s dedication to enhancing the fundamental infrastructure of Kannada schools and raising the overall quality of education. He also expressed a commitment to empowering the Kannadiga community economically and socially.

Furthermore, he urged the public to incorporate Kannada into their daily routines, given its official language status, and insisted that government officials learn and utilize Kannada in their official duties. He also voiced his opposition to competitive exams conducted solely in Hindi and English by the union government, asserting that such exams should also be available in Kannada. He stated that he had already written to the union government on this matter and would do so again if necessary.
