Kannada Rajyotsava Celebration: Activists Raise Separate State Issue in Kalaburgi

Activists in Kalaburgi attempted to raise a separate flag for the Kalyana Karnataka region in support of their demand for statehood. Members of the Kalyana Karnataka Pratyeka Rajya Horata Samiti gathered at the Sardar Vallabha Bhai Circle with the intention of hoisting the Kalyana Karnataka flag. However, the police intervened and prevented them from doing so.

While Karnataka celebrated its 68th Kannada Rajyotsava on Wednesday, a segment of the population in Kalaburgi chose to highlight the issue of seeking separate statehood during the festivities.
