Installation of First Stop Log on TB Dam’s Gate Successful, Minister Distribute Sweets
Hospete, EXPRESS News: The installation of the first stop log on the 19th crest gate of the Tungabhadra Dam (TB Dam) has been successfully completed. In celebration of this achievement, Koppal district in-charge Minister Shivaraj Tangadagi and MP Rajshekhar Hitnal distributed sweets to the expert Kannayya Naidu, the engineers, and the staff who worked on the gate installation.
Speaking to reporters outside the premises of dam, Koppal District Incharge Minsiter Shivaraj Tangadagi said that the work of installing remaining four stop logs will continue in the morning. He said this is the first success the team which has been working to install stoplogs tasted. He also expressed confidence that the team will install the remaining stoplogs without much hurdles. He said outflow of the water has been decreased and it would be reduced further.
He expressed confidence that the reservoir will brim to its capacity, after installing the crest gate, as the river basin area is receiving good rainfall.
