Amsterdam: Condemning the brutal terrorist attack in Pahalgam, members of the Indian diaspora staged a peaceful protest in the Netherlands. Among the demonstrators were Kannadigas Jayaprakash, Ashok Hatti, and Suresh Beckham, along with other Indians from various states. They observed a silent protest and appealed for justice for the victims of the Pahalgam attack.
Protesters held placards bearing slogans in support of India and waved the Indian national flag. Speaking to the media, Ashok Hatti, a Kannadiga, stated that the attack was one of the deadliest assaults on civilians in the region in recent years. One protester held a sign that read, “Indians, we stand with you.”
Ashok Hatti further noted that Pakistan has been responsible for several such attacks in the past, citing Pulwama, the Mumbai attacks, and now the Pahalgam terror strike. “We do not represent any religion or political party. We are here to send a clear message to Pakistan,” he told a news agency.
Jayaprakash, who led the protest, said, “We are here to express our support and solidarity with the families of those killed in the attack. We believe the Indian government is responding to Pakistan in a language it understands.”
