Hubballi’s Shri Balaji Hospital Signs Landmark Agreement with England’s NHS

Hubballi: The renowned Shri Balaji Institute of Neurosciences and Trauma known for achievements in neurosurgery, neurology, spine, bone and joint care, emergency, and trauma treatment, has made a mark in North Karnataka.

The renowned hospital has now entered into a major pact with England’s National Health Service (NHS) and the BAPIO Training Academy (BTA) to provide world-class medical services, education, research, and emergency care, alongside skill-based advanced training for medical, paramedical, and nursing staff.

Sharing details, hospital chairman Dr. Kranthi Kiran revealed that the agreement was signed during a recent event in Bengaluru. As part of the Indo-England collaboration, this partnership aims to foster the exchange of expert doctors, promote new research, and encourage professional innovation, paving the way for medical tourism. Through this initiative, Indian doctors, nurses, and paramedical staff will benefit from skill enhancement in areas such as emergency care, neurosurgery, and general surgeries, he said.

He added that the agreement will facilitate lectures, training workshops, and knowledge exchange, improving professional clinical excellence, medical education, innovation, and nursing capabilities, thereby expanding the hospital’s service scope.

According to the hospital’s chairman, the agreement, signed in the presence of him, England’s NHS National Medical Director Prof. Stephen Powis, BTA Executive Director Prof. Parag Singhal, is expected to create more opportunities for joint research and innovation between India and the UK. It will also elevate Shri Balaji Hospital’s reputation internationally, adding another feather to its cap.

Present at the event were British Deputy High Commissioner Anna Shotbolt, senior officials from the British High Commission Edna D’Souza and Jostin Pereira, and Dr. Shashank.

The press conference was attended by Dr. Shashank, Shri Balaji Hospital’s CAO Ricky Benjamin, Administrator Ashley Boragavi, and PRO Shivakumar IB, among others.
