Hubballi Medical Shop Owner Falls Victim to Cyber Fraud

Hubballi: A medical shop owner recently fell prey to cyber criminals, resulting in a loss of Rs 19,000 to the unsuspecting victim.

Rashmi Rajeev Joshi, the victim, received a call from an unknown number where the miscreants informed her that her credit card had expired and needed renewal. Trusting their deceptive words, she provided all the necessary details.

The realization struck when the credit card company sent her a statement, claiming pending bills. Recognizing the fraud, she promptly filed a case with the cybercrime police.
