Hubballi Doctor Mahesh Nalwad’s Heroic Intervention Saves Passenger’s Life on IndiGo Flight

Hubballi: In a remarkable display of medical expertise and quick thinking, Dr. Mahesh Nalwad, a renowned physician from Hubballi, saved the life of a fellow passenger who experienced breathing difficulties midair on an IndiGo flight. The incident occurred on Sunday as Dr. Nalwad was en route to Delhi from Hubballi.

Dr. Nalwad described the situation, noting that everything seemed normal until a 45-year-old passenger suddenly complained of breathlessness. Upon reaching the distressed passenger, Dr. Nalwad swiftly identified that the individual was suffering from renal failure and exhibited signs of fever.

Utilizing the available equipment, including an inhaler and emergency drugs from the flight’s medical kit, Dr. Nalwad managed to stabilize the passenger until the flight safely landed at Delhi airport. The passenger was promptly rushed to a nearby hospital for further medical attention.

Dr. Nalwad, an active member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has a strong presence in public life. He is one of the top contender for Haveri-Gadag Lok Sabha seat to contest election on BJP ticket.  While he was a top contender for the Hubballi-Dharwad Central constituency in the previous assembly elections, the party nominated Mahesh Tenginkai due to changed circumstances.
