Hubballi-Bengaluru Superfast Express: Service Resumes After Public Outcry
The South Western Railway has reinstated the Hubballi-Bengaluru Superfast Express Special Train service, responding to widespread public outcry.
Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, in a post on X, expressed gratitude, stating, “Hubballi-Bengaluru Superfast Express Special Train resumes service. Upon my return from Rajasthan, I promptly raised this issue with railway authorities.
They assured me of the train’s resumption within a couple of days, and true to their word, the service has been restored. I extend my thanks to Railway Authorities and Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for promptly considering and approving the reinstatement. The express train has been a vital service for passengers in the past, and its restoration will undoubtedly benefit the public in the days to come.”
The suspension of this train service sparked public anger, with netizens expressing frustration over SWR’s decision by sharing screenshots of their tickets, underscoring the popularity of the train service. Finally, succumbing to public pressure, SWR decided to reinstate the service, acknowledging its significance for the community.

Congress leader Rajat Ullagaddimath, who petitioned the railway authorities to restart the service of the train, also extended gratitude to the Union Minister for taking prompt action and finally, bowing to their pressure and public outrage.
