Home Minister Vows No Sensationalism in Karkala Rape Case Investigation

New Delhi: Home Minister G Parameshwara asserted that his government will not allow the Karkala rape incident to be sensationalized.

Speaking to reporters in New Delhi on Saturday, Dr. Parameshwara emphasized that the police are thoroughly investigating the case from all angles. Responding to the opposition’s claim that it was a case of “love jihad,” he remarked that they are attempting to project it as such, but the government will not permit the case to be sensationalized.

“The accused in the case has already been apprehended, and the police are conducting a strict investigation. Appropriate legal action will be taken against the accused,” he stated.
