Gold Prices Today: 24-Carat Gold Dips by ₹10 in Early Monday Trade
The price of 24-carat gold experienced a marginal drop of ₹10 on Monday morning, bringing the cost of ten grams to ₹75,640, according to the GoodReturns website. Similarly, silver prices saw a decline of ₹100, with one kilogram trading at ₹89,400.
For 22-carat gold, the price also fell by ₹10, making ten grams available for ₹69,340.
Across major cities like Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad, the price of ten grams of 24-carat gold was consistent at ₹75,640, while Delhi reported a slightly higher rate of ₹75,790. For 22-carat gold, the price stood at ₹69,340 in Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad, whereas in Delhi, it was pegged at ₹69,490.
Silver prices mirrored consistency across Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata, with one kilogram priced at ₹89,400. However, Chennai reported a higher rate at ₹98,900 per kilogram.
International Market Trends
Globally, gold prices showed a modest recovery on Monday after a sharp decline last week. Spot gold edged up by 0.4% to $2,571.11 per ounce as of 0041 GMT, following a two-month low and the steepest weekly drop in over three years on Friday.
Spot silver rose by 0.6% to $30.39 per ounce. Meanwhile, platinum and palladium gained 0.6% and 1.7%, trading at $944.57 and $966.66 per ounce, respectively. Expectations of slow US interest rate cuts kept the recovery subdued.
