Five Members of a Family, Including Four Differently-abled Daughters Found Dead in Delhi
New Delhi: In a heart-wrenching incident from Delhi’s Vasant Kunj area, a man and his four differently-abled daughters were found dead in what appears to be a case of suicide, reported on September 28 by news agency PTI. The incident reportedly took place on Friday.
Initial investigations suggest that Hira Lal, the father, along with his daughters, may have consumed a toxic substance. Police discovered packets of poison, five glasses, and a spoon containing a suspicious liquid at their residence, as per reports from Times Now.
Tragically, of the four daughters, two were diagnosed with special needs, while the other two faced severe physical disabilities, leaving them unable to walk. A significant burden had already been placed on the family as the girls had lost their mother to cancer just a year ago.
Following his wife’s death, Hira Lal had reportedly dedicated his life to caring for his daughters, severing ties with his extended family and giving up his job to focus solely on their medical treatment. The situation came to light when the building owner noticed a foul odor near the family’s home and informed the police around 10:18 a.m. on Friday.
The investigation into this tragic incident is ongoing as authorities look into the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
