Cristiano Ronaldo Breaks YouTube Record: Fastest to Reach 1 Million Subscribers
Cristiano Ronaldo, widely regarded as one of the greatest footballers of all time, has embarked on a new chapter in his illustrious career by becoming a content creator. After dominating the world of football for nearly two decades, Ronaldo has now launched his own YouTube channel, ‘UR Cristiano’. The channel’s debut was nothing short of extraordinary, as Ronaldo broke a world record by becoming the fastest person to reach 1 million subscribers on the platform. Within just 24 hours, his subscriber count soared to 10 million, setting yet another unprecedented milestone.
Ronaldo’s influence on social media is already monumental, with 112.5 million followers on X (formerly Twitter), 170 million on Facebook, and a staggering 636 million on Instagram. His announcement of the new channel was met with overwhelming enthusiasm. “The wait is over. My @YouTube channel is finally here! SIUUUbscribe and join me on this new journey,” Ronaldo shared on his social media accounts on Wednesday.
To kick off the channel, Ronaldo uploaded several videos, including a teaser trailer, a light-hearted quiz with his partner Georgina Rodriguez, and a clip of his visit to see his wax figure at Madame Tussauds. The previous record for reaching 10 million subscribers on YouTube was held by the channel Hamster Kombat, which took seven days to hit the mark. Ronaldo’s channel, however, has already surpassed 12 million subscribers, continuing to grow at an unprecedented rate.
As Ronaldo continues to break new ground on YouTube, it seems likely that the legendary striker, currently playing for Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr, will continue to shatter records on the platform.
