CM Siddaramaiah Condemns Politicization of Neha Hiremath’s Murder
Mysuru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah condemned the murder of Neha Hiremath and assuring swift action against the accused. He emphasized that the tragic incident should not be politicized, rejecting claims of it being related to Love Jihad.
Siddaramaiah asserted that the Karnataka government is treating the investigation with utmost seriousness and is committed to ensuring severe punishment for the guilty. He urged against exploiting Neha Hiremath’s death for political gains, calling it unfortunate and condemnable.
Regarding concerns about the state’s law-and-order situation, the Chief Minister stated that while crimes do occur, Karnataka maintains a relatively peaceful environment compared to other regions. He affirmed the government’s dedication to maintaining peace and order and promised decisive action against any criminal activities.
Siddaramaiah also addressed ongoing protests across the state, stating that they would not impact the government’s functioning. Regarding the upcoming elections, he dismissed the notion of a “Modi wave” and criticized the BJP’s reliance on the Prime Minister’s name for electoral gains. He highlighted the growing support for a pro-INDIA alliance across the country.
