Kollam, Kerala: In Kollam, the six-year-old girl who was abducted from Oyoor has been safely located by the police after nearly 20 hours, discovered in an abandoned state at Asramam Maidan on Tuesday, reported Onmanoram.

Local residents played a crucial role by informing the police upon finding the child. The police had intensively focused their search efforts on the white Maruti Swift car that the abductors had used.

In response to the abduction, the police released a sketch of a man believed to be involved in the incident. The abductors had reportedly demanded a ransom of Rs 10 lakh for the girl’s release.

Following investigations, three individuals from Thiruvananthapuram were taken into custody over suspicions of their involvement in the case. Subsequently, two of them were released after interrogation. The incident highlights the community’s cooperation and the police’s concerted efforts in swiftly responding to and resolving the abduction case.
