New York-USA- In a tragic incident in New York City’s Far Rockaway neighborhood, a suspect, identified as 38-year-old Courtney Gordon, went on a rampage, fatally stabbing four people, including two children aged 11 and 12.
The violence unfolded around 5 a.m. on Sunday when police responded to a domestic violence incident. Gordon, wielding a kitchen knife, attacked two officers, slashing one in the face and the other in the head. Despite injuries, one officer, a 28-year veteran, managed to shoot and kill the assailant.
The wounded officers were treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect had a prior arrest related to domestic violence. The motive for the attack is under investigation. The victims’ names are withheld pending family notification.
The tragedy involved a fire set in the home, complicating the response. Police believe the victims and the suspect are related. The officers’ swift actions were praised for preventing further harm.
