Bizarre Incident: Boeing 757’s Nose Wheel Rolls Away Before Takeoff
A Boeing 757 jet, operated by Delta Air Lines, experienced a critical incident at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport as its nose wheel detached and rolled away while awaiting takeoff clearance, reported NBC News.
The Federal Aviation Administration reported the incident, stating that the nearly 200 people on board, including 172 passengers, were unharmed.
Passengers were transferred to another flight, and the plane resumed service the next day. Delta apologized for the inconvenience. This comes amid heightened scrutiny on Boeing, following issues with an Alaska Airlines flight and a 747 cargo jet in Miami, impacting the reputation of the aviation giant.
