Arizona: Governor Hobbs Demands Action and Reimbursement from Biden Administration

Phoenix, Arizona: In a scathing letter sent on Friday, Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs slammed the Biden administration’s response to the southern border crisis, demanding both immediate action and hefty financial compensation for the state’s burden.

“Today, I sent a letter to President Biden urging him to reassign National Guard troops to reopen the Lukeville Port of Entry and demanding reimbursement for the staggering $512,529,333 Arizona has borne due to federal inaction,” Governor Hobbs declared in a public statement.

The letter lambasted the federal government’s failure to secure the Arizona border, emphasizing that the state will now demand regular compensation for the costs incurred.
