10-Year-Old Hubballi Boy Conquers Himalayan Pass!
Hubballi: In the beautiful mountains of Himachal Pradesh, Kiaan Patil, a courageous 10-year-old from Hubballi and a student of Chetan Public School(Smart Campus) achieved something incredible.
He became the youngest person in India this year to conquer Sar Pass(Himalayan Ranges), which sits at a towering height of 13,850 feet. Kiaan wasn’t alone in this adventure; his father Basavaraj Patil, mother Rani Patil, aunt Rashmi B, uncle Ganesh Biradar and Allabux B were right there with him every step of the way.
Facing tough weather like rain, hail, snow, and strong sun, Kiaan never backed down. His journey started with some fun activities in Manali, where he tried the longest zip-line and learned to ski. Then, he gradually got used to the mountain weather by taking a short 3 Kilometre walk along the Mountain Tree trail in Kasol to get acclimatize.
Despite walking through rain to reach Ghran Village, Kiaan kept going. When he saw snow for the first time at Min Tach, he didn’t let it stop him. The toughest part came when he had to climb up to Nagaru Camp, using ropes because the path was so steep. Even when he faced snowfall and strong winds at the camp, Kiaan stayed strong.
The biggest challenge was reaching Sar Pass itself. Starting before dawn, Kiaan walked through the freezing cold, covering 14 kilometers of snowy terrain. Even though he felt very cold and sometimes cried because of freezing hands, Kiaan never gave up.
For Kiaan, this journey wasn’t just about reaching the top of Sar Pass; it was about showing how brave and determined he could be. His story is an inspiration for everyone, proving that with courage and determination, anyone can achieve their dreams.
