Hubballi: District In-Charge Minister Santosh Lad has ordered the immediate suspension of D.M. Kalawad, Panchayat Development Officer (PDO) of Gudenakatti Gram Panchayat, following allegations of dereliction of duty in Yarinarayanapur village, Kundgol taluk.
In the village young twin brothers (3 years old) who were playing outside of their house accidentllly fell in the lake which is just exactly opposite their house recently.
During his visit to Yarinarayanapur on Wednesday, the minister observed that proper measures had not been taken for public safety, and there was a lack of development in basic infrastructure in the village. In response, he directed that strict disciplinary action be initiated.

The Executive Officer of Kundgol Taluk Panchayat has been directed to assign Kalawad’s responsibilities to another PDO and initiate a departmental inquiry. The suspended officer will be eligible to receive subsistence allowance during the suspension period but is not permitted to leave headquarters without prior permission from higher authorities.
Further, the executive authorities have been instructed to make appropriate entries in Kalawad’s service record and prepare a draft chargesheet along with necessary supporting documents to proceed with the disciplinary proceedings.
