Weather Update: Rain to Continue in Karnataka, Yellow Alert in Effect

A low-pressure system has formed over the Bay of Bengal, and rainfall is expected to continue for the next three days in the Malnad and coastal regions. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for heavy rainfall in the districts of Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Chikkamagaluru, and Shivamogga until September 13.

Winds are expected to blow at a speed of 30-40 km/h along the coastal areas. A yellow alert has also been issued for Kodagu for the next 24 hours. Although rainfall has decreased in most districts of South Karnataka and North Karnataka, there is still a possibility of light to moderate rain in some areas.
