Indian-American entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy has exited the 2024 US presidential race, endorsing Donald Trump after a modest showing in the Iowa Republican caucuses.

Ramaswamy, initially an unknown figure in politics, gained traction among Republicans for his stances on immigration and an America-first approach, aligning closely with Trump’s strategies.

However, Trump’s victory in Iowa solidified his frontrunner status. Born to immigrant parents from Kerala, Ramaswamy, an Ohio native, unexpectedly entered the Republican field, but faced a downturn as Trump publicly criticized him, branding him a “fraud.”

The Harvard-educated author of “Woke, Inc.” became a notable figure in conservative circles with his critiques of corporate decisions. Former Governor Nikki Haley took a jab at Ramaswamy during debates.
